This section provides general information about the Radiacode-10X series dosimeter. Later in the document, the Radiacode-10X series dosimeter is also referred to as the "device" and "dosimeter."
Attention! This user manual is applicable for devices with firmware version 4.11 and above.
The developer continually enhances the device's firmware, so it is advised to always use the most recent version of the user manual. The latest information can be found in the links under the section: Developer contacts.
Device Purpose

Radiacode-10X series
The portable dosimeter and radiation detector, Radiacode-10X series, is designed to assess the radiation situation in real time. Additionally, the instrument automatically logs measurement results and events, allowing for analysis with standard software on a smartphone or personal computer. The dosimeter is suitable for use on the ground, with construction material samples, and with specially selected and prepared food or soil samples.
The instrument is highly sensitive to gamma and X-ray radiation. It is suitable for assessing dose rate, accumulated dose, absorbed radiation energy spectrum, and providing radiation hazard warnings.
The Portable Radiation Detector Radiacode-10X series is a versatile tool for radiation safety assessment. It is always ready for:
- site reconnaissance;
- inspection of objects and materials;
- continuous monitoring of the radiation environment;
- automatic data storage in the instrument's memory;
- monitoring of accumulated dose;
- quick search for radiation sources;
- two-channel alarm signaling for radiation hazards and changes in the radiation environment;
- time-based database;
- possibility of autonomous operation, or paired with a smartphone;
- wireless data transmission;
- extensive data processing capabilities in Windows, Android, and iOS applications.
Instrument features
- Quickly responds to changes in the radiation environment, thanks to the CsI(Tl) scintillator detector working in conjunction with a silicon photomultiplier tube and adaptive data processing.
- Continuous monitoring of the radiation situation is maintained as long as the instrument is on. Results can be presented at any time in the form of dose rate, count rate, accumulated dose, and absorbed radiation energy spectrum. Data assessment and accumulation are independent of display mode changes.
- Splash-proof and dust-proof - IP64 class.
- Extended battery life for prolonged use.
- Independent alarm thresholds for count rate exceedance, dose rate exceedance, and accumulated dose exceedance. It is possible to set two thresholds for each value.
- Built-in non-volatile memory for data accumulation, with a capacity of approximately 1000 hours of autonomous observations. Data can be transferred to a computer via USB and to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Results are stored in an external database.
- Link results to geographic coordinates and display them on Google and OSM maps when used with a smartphone.
- Availability of a program for personal computers and applications for Android and iOS.
- Ongoing project development. Potential for software upgrades.
- Economical graphic display with automatic backlighting in low light. The image rotates on the screen when the device is turned.
- Sound, light, and vibration alarms on the device, with the option to duplicate them on a smartphone.
The Radiacode-10X series is a highly advanced and sensitive instrument. Please read the instructions carefully to ensure accurate results.
