App Settings

Application

Application language: Tap to choose the language for the application interface. Russian is available if supported by the mobile device.

Groups in the settings dialogs: Settings in dialogs are organized into groups. By default, all groups are collapsed, giving them a compact appearance. To expand a group, tap it. If you select the "Always Expanded" setting, all settings groups in all dialogs will be displayed in an expanded view. If the "Remember State" option is enabled, the application will remember which settings groups have been expanded and will expand them the next time you enter the dialog. You can also enable group collapse/expand animation.

A long press on the triangle in the upper-right corner of the group opens or closes all groups in the dialog.

Image viewer: Choose whether to open images with the built-in viewer or an external program. External programs, such as the system Gallery, offer more functions for viewing, while the built-in tool allows you to directly detach an image from an object (spectrum, track...), and also open an image with an external viewer.

Screen orientation: You can choose an option to lock the smartphone screen in a fixed position when the application is active.

Database Backups: Automatically create database backups when the application starts. You can choose how often to create backups and how many copies to keep. Backup copies of the database file are stored in the Backup subfolder of the application's working directory and are named in the YYYY-MM-DD.db format, for example, 2023-12-08.db. The "Restore backup..." button shows a list of available copies for recovery. Below the list, there is a "Select file to import..." button, which opens the system tool for selecting a database file to import. When restoring, the application restarts.

The "Export database file..." button opens a dialog where you can configure the parameters for exporting a copy of the database file. After exporting, the database file can be saved in the smartphone's memory, sent via email or messenger, and imported into the RadiaCode application on another device or into the RadiaCode program on a Windows computer. When exporting, the application restarts.

Database cleanup: If the "Automatically delete log entries that are older than:" option is enabled, then when the app is launched, entries with dates older than the one selected in the drop-down list below will be deleted from the log. Automatically deleting old records will prevent an uncontrolled increase in the size of the database and, consequently, slow down work with it.

Use more colors in the interface: In certain elements of the application interface, use colors other than white to enhance readability. This is particularly relevant for the spectrum and track libraries.

Remember scroll position in dialogs: when you re-enter a dialog, the same section that was visible when you exited will be displayed.
Animation of opening/closing dialogs: Animate dialogs as they appear and disappear.

Do not turn off the smartphone screen when the app is active: the screen will remain on if the RadiaCode app is displayed.

Animate status bar icon when the device is connected: If this option is enabled and the app has established a connection with the device while being inactive, the app icon in the smartphone's status bar will change appearance every few seconds. This allows you to verify the device's connection to the app without activating it.

Replace images without prompting: do not ask to replace images for spectra, tracks, etc.

Diagnostic Mode: Enable detailed information output to the application log file. In the event of a crash, the detailed log can assist developers in identifying the cause of the crash.
