Database Import
The application's database file export and import tools enable you to share database files between Radiacode applications on various Android devices, as well as Radiacode programs on Windows computers.
You can export the database file by clicking "Export database file..." in the application settings. After exporting, the database file can be saved in the smartphone's memory, sent by email or via messenger—the system provides a list of applications for handling the file. By default, the file is given the .rcdb extension.
There are two methods to import a database file:
- In the application settings, under the "Database Backups" group, click the "Restore backup..." button. A list of automatic backups available for recovery will open, and below it is the "Select file to import..." button. Clicking it opens the system tool for file selection. Since the Android system does not provide tools for filtering files by extensions, files with various extensions will be displayed in the list. When importing, ensure you select the correct file, as choosing the wrong one may cause the application to lose functionality, requiring reinstallation and possibly resulting in data loss. When importing the database, the application will restart.
- Choose the Radiacode application for the "Open with..." operation when handling the database file in another application, such as a messenger or File Explorer. The file must have the .rcdb extension.
The imported database will entirely replace the current one, so if you need to preserve data, ensure you export the current database or verify that an automatic backup exists.
