Calibration

Initial Calibration

Factory Calibration: Each Radiacode device undergoes calibration at the production facility using a certified reference source, Titanium-44 (Ti-44).

Temperature Compensation:

  • Comprehensive Calibration Range: Devices are calibrated across a temperature range from -20°C to +55°C.
  • Benefit: This process completely eliminates temperature dependency and prevents spectral drift within these temperature limits, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements in various environmental conditions.

Re-calibration

When Re-calibration is Needed:

  • Durability: In most cases, re-calibration is not required due to the robust initial calibration.
  • Possible Need: Some users may need to adjust calibration coefficients if the device has experienced impacts or drops.

Remote Re-calibration Assistance:

  • Convenience: Calibration adjustments can be performed remotely and typically require minimal time.
  • How to Request Assistance:

Self-Calibration

Option for Advanced Users:

  • User Empowerment: We offer the option for advanced users to perform self-calibration.
  • Procedure:
    • Simplicity: The self-calibration process is straightforward and user-friendly.
    • Guided Tutorial: A step-by-step video tutorial is available to assist you.
